Last night we decided to take our chances and not drive down to the Space Center for the launch, hoping that the weather would hold if off. ( It was a good choice, we will be able to watch the Shuttle Launch at 8:27 on Saturday) We instead went to what must have been one of the top 10 events I have ever attended. It was so huge that I am tempted to go back before Sunday to see if I can’t take in all the things I am sure we missed. Instead of me just retelling what it was, I have included the description from their website.
“
Walk Through Bethlehem is an outdoor drama that is offered free to our community during the Christmas season. This ministry has had three blessed years, all made possible thanks to hundreds of volunteers at our church. The Walk Through Bethlehem set is a 20,000 square foot city that takes over two months to construct. Men give up their Saturday mornings to build the city. Several ladies in our church have sewn hundreds of authentic looking costumes. The city includes four streets, twenty shops, multitudes of costumed characters, and over 100 live animals, including two camels.”
It was out of this world! We have to Thank God for making it such an awesome night for us!
