Looking at the new year, I have decided to water the grass that I’m standing on. Make the grass right where I am greener, no matter the current circumstances. I have decided to throw the “Grass is always greener on the other side.” saying right out the window. I’m frankly tired of looking for green grass, because it just is never as green as you thought it would be by the time you get there. In fact, I might have killed a lot of grass because I didn’t pay attention to it right under my feet.
This year, I will pay attention to the grass under my feet, the current situations in my life. The blessings that I have here and now, not those that I’m hoping for. I will thrive on positivity, and the pure grace of God.

Green Grass in a Whirlwind 3/30/09
Somehow my last post did not show up…I don’t remember what I wrote.. 
* my husband has a full time job that he loves * my dog is happy to have her mommy home each day * schedule keeps me busy enough to not have time to think too much * Brother’s family was in town * Have the cutest nephews in the world…I could just squeeze them forever * not dealing with pregnancy sickness! * Have good friends who have recently become great friends * have new friendships coming out of the woodwork *finally feeling like this home we’ve made has more friendships than the last * the sun is out and the air is refreshing * the peace that everything gets done in its own time * My nephews’ smiles…priceless * my mom’s face when she talks about upcoming grandchild…priceless * knowing my husband is trying his hardest to balance all things *27 middle schoolers at CIY believe…raising their hands, singing, worshipping

it’s still green….I’m determined 2/3/09
- enough money in the checking account to pay the car ins i forgot about – being able to pay the rent….to the penny just about – good health – happy dog who slept in the office with me all day – organization – the ability to check things off my list – the phone being my best friend tonight…..whether i like it or not….

Rain on the grass 1/30
In order for grass to be green, especially after the cold fronts we’ve been having, it must rain. So rain it has been! So with the thought of rain, comes the thought of work. And I’d have to say that the grass in my business is getting a bunch of rain this week as well. I have worked almost 9 days straight this past week. That has not happened for a long time. I know that at some point I must have more of a rest day, but this is the busiest week schedule wise that we’ve had all month. One training show and two shows of our own. A new jeweler and plenty more motivated jewelers that are trying to learn how to do the best that they can do in their business. It has been a great week, and I will finish it up with a great show with wonderful friends this evening. So grow green grass grow…It is going to be a wonderful year!

GREEN the color of my power jacket this weekend 1/25/2009
I got to tell my story in front of almost 900 people, and only teared up once. More importantly, I got to recognize those who have really helped me in Premier over the last 5 years. I got to hang with wonderful women who I love. I got to watch women build relationships and self-confidence. I got to be with my hubby! There is BRAND NEW jewelry to sell!!! My grandparents are now on email! My dog did not puke for a whole day at someone else’s house! I got to sleep in this morning. I have a new business plan. I have new knowledge to use and share. Dinner and movie money for Tim’s birthday gift. A new hair cut!!!! Premier gave us a whole packet of spring cats instead of just one! Girls’ Bible study is planned and started…and rockin… We have a training show this week! We have two additional shows this week! and last but not least…Mrs. Curve is my BFF….
What a Green Field around me 1/20
Just knowing that God’s word is there to comfort and guide us in the right direction. Just as I ask for help and direction, it is there. Knowing that I can serve where others have served before me in order to make a difference just as others have made a difference for me. I am forever grateful for those opportunities. The motivation to get out of bed and work two days in a row!

Watering the Grass 1/12
Yesterday was one of those not green days. A day that required me to ’sleep it off’. Some people drink, I sleep. So yesterday with no will power to stop it, I climbed back into bed and ignored everything. Today, however, I must not ignore. I must fight with love and strength. So that is what I will do. I will fight with love and strength and hope that it is enough. I am not perfect, and sometimes my actions leave the wrong impression, so today I will try to do my best. Greener Grass of 1/10
Is it bad that my biggest termoil is also my greenest grass this week? I have been completely lazy this week. Have neglected my work completely…well not completely…I did do some appointment work. However, I will sit in this green grass of relaxation, and bask in this wonderful sun of replenishment while it lasts. These next few weeks are absolutely crazy!!! Thanks be to God for those moments of utter silence…

Sweet talks with my husband…leading to better understanding…knowing that I am exactly where I’m suppose to be, and glad I’m no where else. Knowing it’s okay to have to wait a little while longer. A husband who handles difficult situations…and a nice night with cards and friends.

March has the greenest grass…. 3/4/09
Honestly this is the very month that is the cause of me having to take one day at a time…having to remember that EVERY day is a good day, that no matter the circumstances God has everything under control…He has the plan…He has it worked out…He knows what is coming next.
This is the month we’ve been waiting for….praying for….hoping for…..excited for…..dying for…
and NOW it is here….so the grass is very green greener than we could have ever imagined in fact!

#3- Still have the cutest dog in town
#4- The Sprint phone rebate was more than we expected
#5- Had great time with all the parents over the past two weeks
#6- Good friend Cindy is coming to visit early next week
#7- Brother and family are coming to visit this month!!!!
#8- Business is running successfully even with its occasional challenges
#9- Disney with the mom on our birthdays
#10- knowing that my husband was having a fun time while i was gone…because really he was gone first!
